Children are welcome to join us in the woods when they are 3 years old. We are open from 0800-1800 Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year. We offer both part-time and full-time placements, with children attending a minimum of one day per week.
The daily fee is £41.50 and there is a non-returnable registration fee of £75 payable at enrolment. At enrolment your child will receive their woodland equipment pack, consisting of:
- Deuter kindergarten backpack
- Didriksons Dry5 waterproof dungarees and rain jacket
- Legionnaire sun cap
- Insulated lunch bag
- Thermos ice packs
- Drinks flask
- Hunter fleece welly socks
We have a stock of neoprene lined Hunter welly boots for children to wear when in the woods. Parents can also purchase Didriksons fleece-lined waterproof mittens at an additional cost.
Pre school funding is available where eligible and available, and we also accept childcare vouchers. A 10% discount is available to those attending 3 or more days.
Visits
We are always delighted to arrange visits for interested parents to come and experience the kindergarten first hand. If you are a childcare professional and would like to learn more about outdoor learning and our practice, please contact us with your specific requirements.
Enrolment
Due to the demand for places, applications are placed on a waiting list and priority will be given to those children who wish to attend for two or more sessions per week. In order to secure a placement, please complete and return the enrolment form with the registration fee.
